Rx8 misfire. We just had this problem on a local rx8 where it was hitting a wall at high rpm, no misfire, and it was the fuel filter/pump. Issues started with the cold snaps we've had recently (35 degrees in the morning on average). The car still starts but the light just continues to blink. Love my car, but today when driving (accelerating, to be specific) the check engine light flashed once or twice, and stayed on. After replacing coils and resetting the ECU, persistent stalling suggests exhaust blockage. You can feel it losing power during hard acceleration. watch and learn.
